Jubail Mangrove Park is the first self-contained educational, nature, and leisure destination of its kind in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. This unique sanctuary offers a peaceful haven for native bird and marine life, while serving primarily as a protected mangrove ecosystem. The park plays a vital role in raising awareness, fostering appreciation, and promoting understanding of the ecological significance of mangroves — from safeguarding Abu Dhabi’s coastline to supporting regional biodiversity.

Visitors can explore a winding boardwalk that meanders through the heart of the mangroves, offering a striking encounter with Abu Dhabi’s natural environment in its purest form. In addition to its educational and recreational value, Jubail Mangrove Park contributes to wider environmental efforts. Conserving and planting mangroves provides natural resilience to the effects of climate change and helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

As part of the UAE’s commitment to planting 100 million mangroves by 2030 in support of achieving Net Zero by 2050, the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD) has already planted approximately 15 million mangroves across the emirate’s coastal areas, including Jubail Island.
