Overview

Kayak through the mangroves of Abu Dhabi and fish out the trash you see!

Join Kayak 4 Conservation, an enriching and hands-on experience led by Emirates Nature-WWF’s Leaders of Change programme. Embark on a guided kayaking journey through the mangrove forest, where you will explore the cultural and ecological significance of these vital coastal habitats. Learn about the threats mangroves face and discover how collective action can support their long-term resilience.

Participants will also contribute to ongoing scientific research by recording the types and quantities of single-use plastics and other marine waste encountered throughout the year. This valuable data is submitted directly to the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi, providing critical insights for researchers and policy-makers. Your involvement helps shape more informed decisions, develop effective regulations, and influence environmental leadership.
